Background

A Michigan native; Michael was born and raised in Monroe.  An athlete at heart, Michael grew up playing the traditional American sports; football, basketball and baseball.  This, however, wasn't always easy for this former "fat kid."  Michael had a size 44 waist in the 8th grade and topped the scales at 290lbs. by the time he was a sophomore.  He was always the tallest and biggest but consequentially the slowest and with the least endurance.

During the summer before his Senior year, Michael cut back his calories and ran every night after practice ultimately getting his weight down to 204 skinny and non-muscled pounds.  This was good enough to get an invitation to play college athletics, but it wasn't enough for Michael.

It was in college that Michael developed his passion for weight lifting.  He took a weight lifting class as a freshman and has been hooked ever since.  It was at this time he discovered heavy metal and his workout intensity was born.

Those 204 skinny pounds quickly grew into 240 muscled pounds.  Michael began to learn about proper nutrition and supplementation to compliment his new passion for the iron.  The dual effects of sound nutrition and supplementation with proper lifting technique literally transformed his body.

Athletics/Film

Michael played both NCAA baseball and basketball for Mount Union College in Eastern Ohio.

Michael's final game before career ending arm problems was quite a powerful performance.  Used primarily as a set-up man, Michael was called upon with one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning.  Using his height and large hands, Michael baffled the next two batters with a mixture of fastballs and his dreaded circle change-up.

Although the athletic career came to a halt his passion for physique improvement didn't.  All of the time used for practicing sports was transferred to the gym.  With no worries of being “too muscular”, Michael decided to lift heavy and eat for growth.  His arms grew well over 20" and he reached a body weight of 295 imposing pounds.  Although pleased with the gains, Michael needed to transform again for his new passion; acting in film and television.  295 is just too big for the silver screen and Michael called upon the good people at Ergopharm to support his downsizing and staying tight.

Michael has moved to Southern California with the same dream many fitness enthusiasts possess; to break into the film industry.  Michael has appeared in many commercials, national T.V. shows and feature films.  He has infused his goofy humor as a potential suitor on ABC's "The Bachelorette", he rescued a little old lady from bad plumbing as "The Roto-Rooter Man", and he will be causing havoc this summer as a Cobra Neo-Viper in Paramount's special effects extravaganza, "G.I. Joe."

Occupation

Michael currently lives in Southern California, and works as a turnkey exercise equipment sales specialist.  He loves assessing what his clients need and designing a fitness center that will benefit all clients.  When he's not working, at the beach or working out, he usually spends time with family and friends.

Other

Michael loves caffeine, traveling, learning new languages, summer popcorn movies, animal flesh from the Midwest and the Gulf of Mexico.  He dislikes the 99 cent menu, apathy and L.A. traffic.
